Sewing Pattern Wreath and tutorial

I was a little crafty today!

I got my inspiration from this picture I found on the Country Living website.

What a great way to use an old sewing pattern!  I found a sewing pattern at the thrift store for .69 cents plus it was half off!

Begin by cutting out four pieces of the sewing pattern each measuring approx. 6in x 6in.  Fold them accordion style.  Tie a piece of yarn around the middle making sure to leave two long tails.

Then "fluff" by pulling each of the folds out. The great thing about this project is that it's easy.  You really don't have to worry about exact measurements or an occasional rip.  But, it is time consuming.
For detailed instructions on how to make this flower go here. (click through slideshow to find the flower)

Next, tie right onto the wreath.  I then "scrunched" and "munched" each flower to give it a more wrinkled texture.

It's currently hanging from a mirror in the living room, but wouldn't it make a great statement on a front door.  The possibilities are endless!
